Dirt track to reach Bernard and Dala house in a small village near Savannakhet. We met Bernard along the road and he invited us to stay in house for a few days.

Bernard and Dala founded a private association that collects money to built up schools in small villages. They also give small credit to people, like Dala's sister, that used it to buy this loom. So that she can sew and sell her products to pay back the loan and help the community of the village.

The whole village gather here every night to assist at the dance rehearsal.

This is one of the few (the only one we saw) source of water. The taste is very good!

Bernard, Dala, Davide, Daniele and the workers from Energy France, a French company, that come here twice a year to help out the association with the school projects.

Finally we meet Godimundi, Alessandro e Stefania. They left Italy in 2014 and are travelling the world by tandem.

In Pakxong we say Davide goodbye, his visa is expiring and he has to reach the border with Cambodia few days before us. We will meet again later on.

Hawkers are very common in Laos. Whenever you are hungry you just stop at the side of the road, wait a few minutes and for sure someone will show up!

The night before we started settling up our camp in a temple. After few minutes a bunch of police officers showed up and forced us to leave the temple, but they found us this nice place to spend the night!

Here the Mekong is huge, since the monsoon season is over the water level is very low and thousands of small islands dot the landscape.

Awaiting the boat to reach Don Det, the most famous island among the 4000 islands of the Mekong. We are now few kilometres away from Cambodia.
