Italians are everywhere! Pietro hosted us for one night in Guangzhou, before catching the 36 hours train to Xining to start the second part of our chinese adventure!

A painter in Xining. In less then 36 hours we went from sea level to 3000 meters of altitude!
Xining, China
Bicycles collected, panniers collected, it's time to head to the tibetan mountains..
Xining, China
Still we have a short time in China, our 30 days visa is not enough to cover the 3000 km we dream to cycle in the tibetan mountains plus in November there's a big national holidays, so all governative offices are going to be closed. Therefor in less then 20 days we have to be in Shangri-La to apply for the visa extension. So we decide to catch a night bus from Xining to Yushu.
Xining, China
Night busses are quiet comfortable, one tiny bed for each passenger and many stops to go to the toilet, eat and enjoy mountain fresh air.
Yushu, China
Off the bus, on the saddle again. Here starts the amazing journey along the high tibetan mountains. Xiewuzhen is our first glimps of Tibet, people are friendly, the village is quiet and the air is just amazing!
